Owusu Bempah: Hearts defender on international duty backs side to triumph over Lions today

Hearts of Oak defender Owusu Bempah, is backing his side to put Lions to the sword this afternoon when they meet in the First Capital Plus premier league.

The Phobians haven’t had a pleasant start to the season and sit at a disappointing 12 th after seven round of games.

It doesn’t get any easier as they travel to Kpando to take on the team which paced them to second place last season.

Lions are favorites for this after a convincing 1-0 win away to Wa All Stars last week whiles Hearts fell to a costly 2-1 defeat to Edubiase at home.

Despites the odds being against the Phobians Owusu Bempah is confident of victory.

”We all thought that after the victory against Kotoko we were going to keep winning but football is strange sometimes,” Bempah told Accra based Citi FM

”Lions will be tough but I am confident my colleagues in my absence will get the victory.”

Bempah is currently in Turkey where the Under 20 team is preparing for the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal next month.
