Match Report: Hasaacas beat Inter Allies 2-1

Sekondi Hasaacas continued their impressive home form with a 2-1 victory over Inter Allies on Saturday.

The home side went into the game without a win in three matches after two away defeats in the league to Olympics and B.A United and a home draw in the Elite Cup against division one side Elmina Sharks.

With that in mind, Hasaacas piled on early minutes pressure for the opener but to no avail as their guest played out a cautious game to contain them while they build on their game plan.

Kojo Poku and Issah Yakubu had made close calls for either side but both were dealt with by the goalkeepers.

The Giants of the West broke the resilience of ‘ Eleven is to one’ , on the 32 minute as a Tenneson Opuku pass from the center area beat Baba Mensah’s attempted interception. The ball fell to Frederick Quayson who then nodded the ball to Poku for a composed finish inside the box.

Roger Lamptey missed a near post goal attempt from a throw in. Half time came shortly after that with Hasaacas in control.

The second half also got off with a similar intent from ‘ Hasmal’ but Tenneson blew away a shot from the edge of the box.

But Tenneson picked his spot very well to finish at the bottom corner when he was set up by Poku again in the 58th minutes .

Inter Allies raised their energetic build ups to create trouble for their opponent in a bid to claw back the deficit.

Allies’ persistence paid off as substitute Eliasu Fuseini placed in a ball on the swivel in the box with 12 minutes to full time.

The match ended final with Hasaacas winning 2-1 to Inter Allies.
