Ashgold strengthen their grip on the first Capital Plus premier league with an impressive 3-2 win over New Edubiase in the Adansiman derby.
Striker Yakubu Mohammed was the hero of the day after he outscored Fuseinu Nuhu who grabbed two goals.
Ashgold had gone into the game haven suffered just a defeat in their last seven game but were given a run for their money by Edubiase.
Striker Yakubu Mohammed opened the scoring early on in the game but was quickly pegged back by Fuseinu Nuhu.
Yakubu again gave the miners the lead but was met with an equal response from Nuhu Fuseinu who again pulled Edubiase back into it.
But for the Miners penalty meant Yakubu Mohammed got his hatrick and ensured Ashgold went home with all three points and impressively open five point gap over second place Aduana on the league log.
