Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is eager to put smiles on the faces of AC Milan fans by helping the Rossoneri clinch a home triumph over relegation-threatened Cesena at the San Siro on Sunday.
The Diavolo have won just one of their seven league fixtures in 2015, leaving them in the 11thposition on the league log.
“We need them [our fans], but it is normal that they are not happy… [we want to] make them smile again. Against Cesena, we have to be positive… and try to win the game,” he said
Milan was held to a 1-1 home draw against Empoli last time out with Massimo Maccarone netting a second-half equalizer for the visitors.
Cesena may sit 19th in the table, seven points adrift of safety, but they will be encouraged by a 2-2 draw with champions Juventus last Sunday.
