Members of the Techiman Garages Association are at war with their executives over corruption. They accuse their leadership of embezzling funds belonging to the Association.
The case which is before the Sunyani High Court is to be heard on the 23rd of February, 2015.
Some members of the Association say the Leadership, headed by Mr. Adamu Acheampong had embezzled funds. They told rawgist.com that it came to their notice when the leadership was asked to render accounts of the Association for the past two years and two months.
Efo Frank a member of the Association said when the group objected to the accounts rendered by the leadership they were summoned to the Sunyani High Court.
Mr. Frank said after the rendition of the accounts a 5 member audit committee was set up to look into the accounts and it came out that there were some anomalies which needed to be rectified therefore an interim executive were mandated to take charge of affairs.
Later on Mr. Adamu Acheampong led his executives to summon the 5 audit members and the interim executives for defamation at the Sunyani High Court.
Not long ago a misunderstanding between the executives of Eureka Garages Association and Members at the Techiman Light Industrial Area in Tuobodom was resolved by Authorities.
