19 year old Noah Martey of Bechem United has been hailed as the best player in the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League by his agent, Oliver Arthur.
Martey, the defensive midfielder currently in camp with the Black Satellites side expected to depart the country today for their Turkey camp ahead of next month’s Africa U-20 championship in Senegal, has banged in four goals already this term.
This means he has equalled his tally for the whole of last season after scoring for Bechem United against Ashantigold at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi, another one against WAFA at home before netting both Bechem goals in the Brong Ahafo derby away to Berekum Chelsea.
This has got his equally astute agent, purring with praise songs for teenage sensation, Oliver Arthur already anointing the 19 year old as a legitimate candidate for the Ghana Premier League’s player of the season gong and as well eyeing a senior national team call-up within a short time.
“I have no doubt who the best player in Premier League is – it’s Noah Martey,” Oliver Arthur said from Italy where he is preparing to be at the Juventus Stadium in Turin later this evening to watch another of his players, Richmond Boakye Yiadom feature for Atalanta in a Serie A blockbuster.
“Why? Because he has been unbelievable this season, scoring goals from the defensive midfield position and delivering exceptional performances week-in-week-out. I think he deserves even a call-up to the Black Stars soon,” Agent Arthur explained. Follow @thedonplato
