New Castro single out

It has been almost eight months since the strange disappearance of hip-life artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, aka Castro, and his lady friend, Janet Bandu, at Ada in the Greater Accra Region.

However, a new single from the artiste has been released, which features musician and sound engineer, Appietus entitled ‘Ma men do wo’ (let me love you).

Speaking to Myjoyonline.com, Appietus confirmed that the voice in the song was indeed Castro’s but said “it was recorded before he went missing.”

Interestingly, the missing musician exclaims that he is back again with Appietus; this time with more fire, adding that the people of Ghana should brace themselves for more surprises.

The two had already worked on a collaboration titled ‘Kuntunumu’ before Castro’s disappearance.

“Castro again oo, Appietus my man, we don come again oo, Ghana dey scatter, some people go run, fire dey come,” are just some of the lyrics of the song, which is already beginning to enjoy serious airplay.

Castro and Janet Bandu went missing on July 6 during a waterskiing accident at Ada in the Greater Accra region.

The musician had visited the resort with friends including Blackstars captain Asamoah Gyan.

It remains to be seen how Castro will access his share of the proceeds from the sale of the song.

Appietus says he is hopeful that Castro will be found “someday”.
