Fit as a fiddle: I’m fit and strong says Soulama Abdoulai

Hearts of Oak Burkinabe shot stopper, Soulama Abdoulai has stated that he is fit and strong after his blackout at the Accra sports stadium on Wednesday.

The former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper passed out in Hearts of Oak verses Instabul Elite Cup third round first leg game.

He went down the turf after the referee whistled for the closure of the first half of the game; this  allowed the medics at the stadium to attend to him.

But in the second half, Soulama Abdoulai came back on to the field and kept the entire duration of the second half of the game which the Phobians won by 3 goals to nil.

In a telephone interview with Soulama Abdoulai, the 33 year old goalkeeper confirmed to  Allsports.com.gh  that he is fit and strong.

‘I’m fit and strong, after the referee whistled for the end of the first half, I fell down on the turf because I was a little bit dizzy because during the game I had clash with one of the Instabul’s players so in resting for close to 10 minutes I recovered completely that is why I kept the second half.

Soulama Abdoulai added that – ‘This not the time for me to get injured,  the club needs me because Tetteh Lugard is nursing an injury and Sedi Mutatwakilu will be in the camp of the U20 so I’m really happy to get back on the my feet after that short incident and I must thank the club’s doctors for my recovery.’

Soulam Abdoulai joined the capital based club this season as a free agent on a two year deal.
