ARB Apex Bank staff call for MDs resignation; want 22% pay rise

Staff of ARB Apex Bank on Thursday called for the immediate resignation of their Managing Director Kwadwo Aye Kusi. Workers of the bank who were clad in red armbands are accusing Mr. Kusi of misappropriating funds.

Reports indicate that Mr. Kusi who is currently on leave is also under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime office.

The workers are also demanding a 15 to 22 percent pay increment citing the current worsening economic conditions for their demand.

They have given management of the bank a seven-day ultimatum to address their concerns or lay down their tools.

Meanwhile, the management of the bank has arranged an emergency meeting for next week Friday to address the concerns raised by the workers.
