Vice chair of the ruling NDC, Anita De Soso has run to the President’s rescue as citizens continue to lambast him over the appalling power situation.
Speaking on Fox FM, Anita De Soso assured Ghanaians the President is doing all what is possible to fix the power situation.
“The President is not sleeping at all because of this power situation”, she told Fox FM morning show host adding “don’t you think we will be glad to fix it and win over the hearts of Ghanaians as we approach the elections?”
She urged Ghanaians to be patient as the President takes pragmatic steps towards a permanent solution to the problem.
She switched gears however to take a swipe at the opposition New Patriotic Party, accusing them of politicising the issue. “They know they won’t get any votes once it’s fixed, they don’t want it fixed”, she said.
The New Patriotic Party is set to embark on a huge demonstration in Accra against the government’s handling of the power crisis Ghana faces. rawgist.com learns that several demonstrations are lined up in various parts of the country including Kumasi to force the government to solve the energy situation which has culminated in the rationing of electricity to various parts of the country.
