MENTOR: Eto’o is my role model – Kingsley Boateng

Kingsley Boateng says he seen Samuel Eto’oas his role model whilst learning to play football.

The on-loan AC Milan attacker has played two games since joining Bari in the Italian Serie B in January. He encompassed a variety of skills akin to what the former Barcelona star could produce while he was in his prime against Vicenza on Saturday.

“My role model? Samuel Eto’o. He is the best!,” Boateng told tuttob.com.

“I always look up to him. He is dynamic, technically strong and fast. He was an enormous player.”

The 20-year-old forward added that he has not forgot about his defensive duties and is keen to hone these skills at Dortmund where he believes he will receive the best coaching.

“For those who don’t know me, I am a second striker, fast, skillfull and always want to operate in tight spaces.ย I have lived in Italy since I was five years old, I have the heart and mind of a Ghanaian-Italian.”

“My teachers?ย AC Milan were Cesare Beggi, Stefano Eranio and Massimiliano Allegri who gave me a big hand when I came to the first team.”

Boateng returned to Milan after Filipo Inzaghi’s side activated his buy-back option with Dutch club NAC Breda.

He managed 14 appearances in the Eredivisie for NAC, scoring one goal and providing one assist, but was increasingly shoved to the bench in recent months.
