Dr. Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, a private legal practitioner has called on Ghanaians to vote the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by President John Dramani Mahama out of power come 2016, saying he is not ordained by God to rule the nation.
The renowned legal practitioner noted that the incompetency of President Mahama’s administration has had a great effect on the economy, saying that is why he and some of his Ministers are performing poorly.
Speaking in an interview with The New Crusading GUIDE at his residence in Accra yesterday, the Lawyer stated that the Article 6 of the 1992 constitution allows a political party to stay in power for only two terms that’s eight (8), saying that the NDC Government led by President John Mahama does not deserve to remain in office in 2017.
According to him, no political party must rule for more than eight years so as to avert the winnertakes- all and a likely one party system in Ghana.
“Anybody who was born to become a leader is ordained by God, but John Mahama was not born to be president and that’s why he can’t handle the economy well and that had corrupted some of his ministers and appointees,” Dr Ampaw observed.
He stated that former president jerry john Rawlings and his NDC was voted out of power in 2000 as well as former president john Agyekum Kufuor and his NPP in 2012 and therefore called on Ghanaians to continue with such a tradition come 2016 by voting him out of power.
“President Mahama should contest as an independent presidential candidate in the 2016 general elections if he still want to remain in power in 2017” Lawyer Ampaw stated.
The current woes of country would deepen if they Ghanaians unfortunately vote for president Mahama and his NDC come 2016.
Lawyer Ampaw hinted that President Mahama incompetency has had effect on his ministerial appointments, saying that has led to the current huge challenges facing the nation.
