‘I’ve Not Been Sacked’

Beleaguered Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mas-Udi Didi Dramani, has denied media reports that he has been sacked by his employers.

According to him, the Kotoko Board only ordered him to proceed on his four months accumulated leave.

The coach explained that per his contract with Kotoko, he is supposed to go on leave for 40 days in every year and he has not gone on leave for three years running since he took over the coaching job.

He stated emphatically that he is ‘cool’ with the Kotoko Board’s decision for him to proceed on his accumulated leave.

Didi Dramani said Kotoko have experienced difficult times this season, which happens to every big club once-in-a-while.

In an interview, he said if the board thinks his absence from the team would restore Kotoko to winning ways, then he has no problem with it.

Kotoko, he said, is bigger than every individual in the team so any move aimed at developing the Porcupine Warriors should be respected.

Didi Dramani, who has started his accumulated leave, said he has six months left on his current contract with Kotoko.
