New Asante Kotoko signing, Emmanuel Clottey has stated that he hopes his rich football experience will positively turn around the misfortunes of the reigning premier league champions.
‘It is my wish and prayer that my rich football experience and contribution at Asante Kotoko will positively turn the situations around and make things far better than it is now for the supporters and also in the impending Africa campaign ahead of us.’
Asante Kotoko have failed to impress in the ongoing league as in 7 games, they have won 2, draw 2 and lost 3 leading to the purported ‘dismissal’ of their coach, Mas-ud Didi Dramani.
Emmanuel Clottey who just joined the Porcupine Warriors on a 3 year deal worth GHC120,000 and officially started training with the Kumasi based club last week ; he is expected to make his debut appearance for Asante Kotoko in their First Capital Plus Bank Premier league against WAFA this weekend.
Clottey also called on the supporters of Asante Kotoko to exercise patience as he believes that the team has the quality to win the league.
‘I do understand the frustration of the supporters, but I’m pleading that they should exercise patience for the team because there is a lot of quality in the team and we are capable of winning the league irrespective of the earlier setbacks,’ the 27 year old attacker added.
