Ghanaian-born American soccer star, Fred Adu has now turned to promoting nightclubs after struggling to find a new football club in Europe.
He was given a professional contract by DC United at just 14 and tipped to be football’s next big superstar.
But now aged 25, Freddy Adu is without a club and working as a nightclub promoter to make ends meet.
Adu, a total legend on computer game Football Manager, has been playing in Portugal, France, Greece, Turkey, Brazil and, until recently, Serbia – where he was contracted to third division club Jagodina. Big.
They let him go before Christmas and with no other takers, Adu is featuring in adverts promoting clubs and bars in the US.
