Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is enjoying his new role in Sudan after a winning start in the Confederation Cup.
Appiah,who led Ghana to the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 is now manager of Khartoum Al Watan and they posted a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe giants Power Dynamos with Kamilou Daouda scoring the crucial goal.
‘I’m happy with the crucial victory and it’s a good start,’ Appiah told Goal Ghana. ‘I’m looking forward to a positive campaign.’
Appiah has been tasked with challenging the duopoly of Al Mereikh and Al Hilal in the domestic league .
The ex Ghana captain parted ways with the national team after the events of the World Cup which culminated in player mutinies over unpaid allowances.
