Great Olympics coach Kassim Mingle banks hopes on new signing Richard Kingson for survival

Great Olympics coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey believes new signing Richard Kingson can help improve their fortunes in the Ghana Premier League.

The Wonder Club are at the foot of the table with a paltry five points from the available 21.

Last Friday, the club confirmed re-engaging their former goalkeeper on a one-year deal to help keep them afloat.

Kingson, 36, has been without a club since terminating his contract with Turkish side Balikesirspor in 2014 after a helping to secure promotion to the top-flight.

“With his rich experience I believe he will add a lot of value to our goalkeeping department and I believe the other players in the team can benefit from his knowledge,” Ocansey told Citi FM.

“We have been facing problems with our goalkeeping department, goalkeepers can stay in the sport for a long time even up to the age of 40 only if they are training seriously.”

Kingson will be available to feature for Great Olympics when they receive his International Transfer Certificate.
