The Phobians laboured to beat AS Police 1-0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup thanks to Selasi Adjei’s 46th minute strike as the home side held on to their solitary goal to end the game.
In the second half of game, the game switched to the advantage of Hearts of Oak as they created several goal scoring opportunities that were spurned by Kwame Kizito, Selasi Adjei and Gilbert Fiamenyo.
Head coach of the Phobians, Herbert Addo has assured AS Police that they will see a different Hearts of Oak team in the second leg in Cotonou in two weeks time.
” We created decent chances that we should have been up by my more goals but unfortunately we didn’t put the ball in the net and AS Police were lucky in the game.
But i want to assure them that in the second leg they will see different Hearts of Oak. We will be going into the game with a different team, different approach and different attitude so i think it will be a very good game in Cotonou.
For me the 1-0 score line is a loss so i have to win in Cotonou in 2 weeks. What i’m praying for is fair officiating”,Herbert Addo said.
