Missile from the edge! Donsah scores as Cagliari force 1-1 draw at Torino

Godfred Donsah is enjoying his soccer at Cagliari at the minute and the 18 year old Ghanaian youngster was at it again on Sunday afternoon after scoring the opening goal at the Olympic Stadium in Turin with what the Cagliari website called a ‘missile.’

Donsah who has become a regular for the Serie A side under the tutelage of Chelsea legend, Giafranco Zola, started yet again in the match day 23 game at high flying Torino, and once again the Ghanaian teenager repaid his coach’s confidence in full.

Donsah delivered the opening goal of the away game that blew everybody away, striking it in from just outside the ’18’ box of Torino to net his second goal for the club after 34 minutes , his predatory instincts growing by the day.

“GOOOOOOOOOLLLL!! Donsah unlocks it with a missile from the edge,” screamed the post on Caglari’s official Twitter handle.

The lead did not last long though as Cagliari were caught perhaps over-celebrating allowing Torino to sneak in what proved a vital equaliser just seconds later in the 35th minute as the honours were shared 1-1 in Turin.

The result meant Cagliari avoided a third straight defeat in Serie A but the point gained was not enough to move them out of the relegation zone in 18th spot on 20 points with 15 matches to go whilst Toprino maintain 9th position on 32 points from 23 games.

Cagliari’s fight against the drop faces another stern test in their next Serie A game next Monday, 23rd February at home to struggling giants, Inter Milan.
