CAF Confederation Cup: AS Police coach jabs Hearts of Oak

Head coach of Hearts of Oak’s opponent, AS Police, Stanislas Akele has jabbed the Ghanaian premier league side; labeling the capital based club as a ‘non top flight side’.

The Phobians on Sunday (15th February,2015) will battle the Beninese ligue 1 leaders, AS Police in the first leg of the preliminary stages of the CAF Confederation cup at the Accra sports stadium.

Hearts of Oak who are currently struggling in the Ghanaian top-flight must beat AS Police convincingly in the first leg game in Accra to better their chances of qualification.

But the head coach of the Benin side has labeled the former Ghanaian champions as a non top  flight side.

“We know that the Hearts of Oak is not found in the top tier of the Ghanaian championship.  So it’s a really playable team. The rest is to properly prepare, have capable players for us to achieve our goals,” Stanislas Akele told jipsorts.

Sunday’s game will be the first outing for the Phobians in Africa inter clubs championship since 7 years. The last time Hearts took part in the Africa club championship they got eliminated by Gabonese side, Gabon 105 (4-3 aggregate score line).
