Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, has accused agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being behind the current energy crisis in the country.
According to her, the evil strategy is intended to make the John Mahama administration very unpopular.
Speaking on Accra-based Atinka FM on Friday, the rib-tickling politician alleged that the opposition party is so desperate for power that it would stop at nothing to make the country ungovernable.
Madam Donkor, who was forced to relinquish a Progressive People’s Party (PPP) campaign vehicle in her possession after the 2012 election, believes NPP elements are collaborating with certain unscrupulous people within the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Volta River Authority (VRA) to inflict the “dumsor” crisis on Ghanaians.
She said the NPP are desperate for power and they badly need a campaign message for the 2016 election and that’s why they are inflicting all these hardships on Ghanaians.
All their diabolic actions are intended to make President Mahama unpopular, the controversial politician alleged.
According to her, no matter what the NPP does, President Mahama will succeed because he has been ordained by God to govern the country, adding that the largest opposition party are full of venom.
She explained that PPP and NPP persuaded her to join them to discredit the 2012 election but she declined, saying President Mahama won the election “one touch.”
