Mas-Ud Dramani has vowed to stay on as Kotoko coach despite the mounting pressure on him to quit, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
Dramani was told in a meeting with the management team on Thursday to resign or risk being sacked following the club’s poor start to the season.
The board and management are clear on their minds the direction of the club with the former Ghana Under-17 female coach not featuring in their future plans.
Dramani has become an albatross on the neck of the Kotoko officials as he has vowed to see out the remainder of his contract.
The future of the coach appears to be over after losing support in the boardroom but there appears to be no end in sight for the two parties to reach an amicable settlement.
Kotoko will fork out thousands of Ghana cedis in compensation if they decide to terminate his contract- a situation which has muddied waters for the Ghanaian champions.
The Porcupine Warriors lack the financial muscle to pay off Dramani with the coach holding the aces in the financial battle.
Dramani’s side have been poor this season, winning only two games from seven matches and lying at a disappointing 10 th position on the league table.
Media reports claimed on Thursday that he has been given a three-match ultimatum to save his job which is peeling through his fingers.
The club’s official newspaper, Kotoko Express , was not charitable to him as they turned the screws on the two-time league winner and questioned his tactics after the club’s jerky start to the season.
