Chris Derrick Owusu may not be the first or best musician, but he surely has a place in the music hall of fame in Ghana and beyond.
With a silky voice and talent which he describes as a special gift from God, Chris Derrick Owusu is set to rock Ghana and the world again with more songs.
His first album, ‘Nyame Tumi So’, which was released some years ago enjoyed massive airplay and at religious gatherings.
The success of his first album has encouraged him to release his second album titled ‘Agya Kasa’, which is currently receiving good airplay.
The eight-track album can boast of a powerful blend of different rhythms and good instrumentation and programming.
Having sung for several years, Chris has a voice that appeals to both circular and gospel music lovers, not to talk of his lyrics which are really inspirational.
Some of his popular songs include ‘Nyame Beye’, ‘Megyina Wanim’ (I Am Standing Before You), ‘Ka Mame’ (Defend Me), ‘Opon Bue’ (Open the Door) and ‘To Megyidie Mu’ (Increase My Faith), ‘Twere Me Din’ and ‘To Wano Nareka’.
Currently, Minister Chris is on his charity project, tackling the needs of drug addicts and street children.
He has performed alongside artistes such as O.J., DSP Kofi Sarpong, Ohemaa Mercy, among others, since 2014 to raise funds to support his charity project.
