History was made at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday when twin brothers Alahassan and Fuseini Nuhu became the first twin brothers in the history of the professional league in Ghana to score in the same game.
Alhassan Nuhu and Fuseini Nuhu say scoring against Hearts of Oak is a dream come true as their two first half goals was what Bekwai based side needed. The twin brothers were on the score sheet for New Edubiase as the Bekwai based club beat the Phobians 2-1 at the Accra sports stadium in match day 7 of the ongoing 2014/15 First Capital Plus Bank Premier league.
Alhassan Nuhu Opened the scoring in the 42nd minute before his twin brother, Fuseini Nuhu doubled the lead 3 minutes later as New Edubiase gets the bragging right over the Phobians.
In an exclusive interview with the Nuhu Brothers they said scoring against Hearts of Oak is a dream come true.
” It was a dream come true that we scored against a big club like Hearts of Oak, before the game we knew we will score and is something we have dreamt doing since the league season start and it will be a day we will remember in our entire life”, brothers told Allsports.com.gh.
They further revealed that, this season their target is to score goals in other to place New Edubiase in a respectable position at the end of the league.
” Our target this season is to score goals because in our 3-2 win over Wa Allstars, we were on the score sheet and we hope our goals will place New Edubiase on a well respectable position on the league table when the season ends”.
