No win: Pressure builds on Dramani as Kotoko lose again

Pressure is mounting on Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Masud Didi Dramani after the Porcupine Warriors lost at the Len Clay Stadium.

A late Bernard Morrison goal gave the Miners all three points in a tight  game that Kotoko needed to win after a loss to arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak last Saturday.

They got off to a perfect start however after Latif Amadu gave them the lead early in the first half to silence the large crowd. The goal however led to a siege from the league leaders as their attack led by Yakubu Mohammed and Morrison peppered Kotoko’s goal area with shots in search of an equaliser.

The pressure paid off just before halftime as Yakubu Mohammed was fouled for a penalty and he dusted himself off to convert for the equaliser.

The second half saw both teams missing chances with Kotoko goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwo the busier of the two goalkeepers  but there was little he could as Bernard Morrison stole in to score his third goal of the season and send Ashgold five points clear at the top while Kotoko slipped to 10th on the league log.
