A group, Awori Development Association, has endorsed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, and other APC candidates for the 2015 general elections.
At a briefing on Tuesday, the group said the endorsement followed an assessment of the performances of all APC candidates in the current dispensation.
Its Chairman, Jelili Jimoh, said the Babatunde Fashola-led administration in Lagos particularly, had improved communities in the state.
Also present at the meeting where the endorsement took place were Suliamon Ogunshaye, Alhaji Semiu Yusuff, Alhaji Jamiu Alonge, Alhaji Ganiu Owolabi-Dada, Prince Rasheed Adekanbi, Alhaji Owojelu Suraju, and Prince Oseni Agedegudu.
“We want to enjoin the people of Alimosho Federal Constituency, including our Awori kinsmen, to identify with the process that would ensure the continuity of the APC administration in Lagos.
“We want to use this medium to appeal to the citizens of Alimosho, including our Awori kinsmen, to follow the traditional Awori path of peaceful co-existence and remain calm”, Jimoh said.
