Ghanaian songstress, Efya known in real life as Jane Awindor has revealed that she performed at the 2011 Ghana Music Award (GMA’s) with ‘a pin in her leg’.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s entertainment show, Showbiz Today, she described that performance as her worse experience in her career.
According to her, the incident happened as a result of a pin which was used to support her costume when she was due to perform pierced through her skin.
However, “the pin which was supposed to design my dress ended up falling on my skin and as a result inflicted pains on my body (leg) while I was performing on stage for several minutes.
“I performed on the same stage with Sherifa Gunu and Bertha with a pin in my leg at the GMAs but I rocked it” she said.
Efya is a Ghanaian songwriter, performer and has won the Best Female Vocalists four times in a row at the GMA’s and several awards at the 4Syte Music Awards.
She also won the Female Musician of the Year at the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards.
