Fire for fire: Herbert Addo lashes out at Hearts fans

Herbert Addo has indicated that he is fed-up with the unnecessary insults from the fans of the Phobians and that he will hit back at any supporter who would disrespect him.

Hearts of Oak had a poor start to the First Capital Premier League, with 2 defeats, 2 draws and a win prior to their 1-0 win over Kotoko on match day 6 and the technical team came under severe criticisms.

The 63-year-old coach after guiding his side to beat the league champions at their own back yard thinks the time is due to express his dissatisfaction at the conduct of the teeming fans of Hearts of Oak towards him.

‘I become sad any time I hear the fans of Hearts criticize me in an illogical manner and some even go to the extent of insulting me using words like useless, nonsense outmoded, etc.

‘They come to the training ground and ask unnecessary questions like why Romeo Abban wasn’t selected for games; meanwhile he had left the team then.

‘It is rather unfortunate that most of these fans jump walls, without paying for matches.

‘At the moment I am ready for them, whoever asks a stupid question will get a stupid reply from me,’ Herbert Addo said.

He took charge of Hearts of Oak in July to replace Mohammed Ahmed Polo, following the end of the 2013-14 league season
