Former Berekum Chelsea attacker, Emmanuel Clottey has officially inked a 3 year deal with Asante Kotoko, Allsports.com.gh can confirm.
The former goal poacher who has been in the country in the past 6 months after terminating his loan contract with UAE based side Al Dahfra has been in talks with officials of Asante Kotoko for the past month.
However, sources close to Allsports.com.gh have indicated that Emmanuel Clottey and Asante Kotoko acting General Manager, Opoku Nti met last week Wednesday and the deal was officially sealed. The former GT. Olympics marks man has officially been registered by the Kumasi based club for the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Bank Premier League.
In a telephone interview with Allsports.com.gh Emmanuel Clottey confirmed that he has joined Asante Kotoko and he is currently waiting for his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
‘Yes I have joined Kotoko and I will be playing for them this season and what I’m waiting for now currently is my International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and as soon as it gets to Ghana you will be see me playing in the ongoing league for Kotoko,’ he said.
