Accra, Feb 9, GNA – MTN Ghana has announced the appointment of Mr Abubakar Mohammed as the General Manager for Distributive Trade.
A statement issued in Accra on Monday and signed by Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Service Executive, said as General Manager for Distributive Trade, Mr Mohammed would be responsible for the Southern District.
The statement said, the new manager would also lead the Consumer Sales team to develop and meet strategic sales and distribution targets.
It said he would also develop indirect and third party retail distribution channel strategies and expand those relationships.
‘His responsibilities will also include the development of sales assignment forecasts and reporting structures for local markets,’ it added.
Eric Nsarkoh , Sales and Distribution Executive for MTN Ghana, said, ‘With the glowing credentials of the new General Manager has earned in commercial leadership and the remarkable successes chalked on the job, his elevation to the position for Southern Ghana only came to acknowledge the major leadership competencies he has demonstrated in his years at MTN.’
Abubakar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and an MBA from the University Of Ghana Business School. He has served in various capacities since joining the company as Sales Officer in 2001.
