A deputy minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyakum has been enskinned Maltiti Naa by the royal head of Zabzugu traditional council, Yelizuli Lana.
This is the second kingship authority conferred on the deputy minister as he is already the Sompahene of Nkoranza in the Brong Ahanfo region.
Maltiti Naa loosely rewords into Chief of Development in Dagbani.
The tittle was conferred on Hon. Emmanuel Agyakum Naa Alhassan Salifu, by the first son of Zabzugu Chief Naa Salifu Mohammed when he (dep. Minister) paid a courtesy call to the Yelizuli Lana palace in preparation ahead of National Sanitation Day celebration which came off in Tamale over the weekend.
The deputy minister was in the community to educate on the need to participate in the exercise and to share his unbidden experiences as a former Chief Executive with various DCEs in the region but the chief thought it was prudent to confer the title on him.
Naa Salifu said the honor is meant inspirit Hon. Agyakum to continue to exhibit exemplary leadership and to bring more development to the rural areas.
The dep. Minister in his acceptance comments, promised to provide a full cost two borehole water facility to the community. He thanked the authority for acknowledging his good works and further promised to work relentlessly to achieve the aim of President Mahama Better Ghana Agenda
