On Saturday 21st of February , the Accra International Conference Centre will come alive with incredible tunes when Nigeria’s top DJ Neptune storms the Ghana DJ Awards to work the turntables alongside top Ghanaian and international DJs including DJ Kofi(UK), DJ Divalash(South Africa), DJ Black, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Vyrusky and DJ French, amongst other top DJs.
This will be the first time a Nigerian DJ will perform at the Ghana DJ Awards.
As the Ghana DJ Awards has become a barometer for DJ performance in Ghana, DJ Neptune who is also a nominee in the Best International Non Ghanaian DJ of the Year category of the awards program, will use the platform to prove why he is a major force to reckon with when it comes to Disc Jockeying in Africa.
DJ Neptune, after releasing his hot single ‘Believe, which features BET award winner Sarkodie and 2013 Headies Award Winner Phyno, has won a lot more fans in Ghana in light of his efforts to help bridge the gap between Ghanaian and Nigerian music.
Akeem Oladunni known as the ever-blazing DJ Neptune has over the years grown to become recognized as Nigeria’s biggest party DJ and has consistently churned out the biggest mixtapes on the Nigerian music market.
He started DJing from his secondary school days in Lagos, later graduating from the University with a Masters Degree in Audio Engineering.
The long dramatic journey for nominees of the Ghana DJ Awards 2015 comes to an end come Saturday February 21st at the Accra International Conference Centre where winners will be announced.
