Charged to win: Kotoko is poised to beat Hearts of Oak – Obed Owusu

Asante Kotoko striker, Obed Owusu has confidently stated that his side has what it takes to beat Hearts of Oak this Saturday at the Baba Yara sports stadium on match day 6 of the ongoing First Capital Plus Bank premier league.

The Porcupine Warriors recovered from their slow start in the season as they have now picked 7 points in 3 games and currently sit at the 5th position with 8 points in five league games.

But the former Berekum Chelsea hit-man believes that Asante Kotoko have the needed quality to beat the Phobians in the up-coming super two clash on Saturday.

‘We have good players in camp and judging from their quality I can say we have the needed quality to destroy Hearts of Oak on the day,’ Obed Owusu said.

The 27 year old forward emphasized that his main focus is to play against Hearts of Oak and win at all cost though it will be difficult but his side will be drawing inspiration from their super two friendly clash triumph over the Phobians.

‘Well, playing against Hearts of Oak on Saturday will be a difficult game but we are taking inspiration from the super two when we won 3-1 against them. But with determination and focus, we will do our best to secure the victory at the end of the game come Saturday,’ he noted.

He further stressed that –  ‘I would love to put my experience to test Hearts of Oak by securing victory and enjoying the sense of purpose  resulting in making legacy during my playing time with Asante  Kotoko and as a footballer.’
