The GFA Disciplinary Committee has fined Premier League sides, Berekum Chelsea and WAFA an amount of One Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,250.00) each.
The decision was taking after the report of match officials for their Premier League Match day 4 game indicated that players’ of both teams delayed kick-off (3.00pm) for three minutes, as a result of a group prayer by both teams on the field of play.
Pursuant to Article 39.8(b), the clubs have been informed that failure to pay the amount within fourteen (14) working days upon receipt of this letter the necessary Disciplinary sanctions shall be applied.
The action of the players’ is therefore deemed to be a violation of Article 23.1(a) of the General Regulations of the GFA.
