Ghana Premier League: Berekum Chelsea and WAFA fined US$ 400 each for misconduct

Ghana Premier League duo Berekum Chelsea and WAFA have been fined GH¢1,250 (US$ 400) each for misconduct. 

The decision was taking after the report of match officials for their Premier League Match day 4 game indicated that players’ of both teams delayed kick-off (3.00pm) for three minutes, as a result of a group prayer by both teams on the field of play.

The action of the players’ is therefore deemed to be a violation of Article 23.1(a) of the General Regulations of the GFA.

Pursuant to Article 39.8(b), the clubs have been informed that failure to pay the amount within fourteen (14) working days upon receipt of this letter the necessary Disciplinary sanctions shall be applied.
