Hearts Of Oak Celebration

Accra Hearts of Oak will take on their city rivals Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium today in week five of the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL).

Heading into the fixture at the back of some inconsistent performances from Herbert Addo’s men, the striking qualities of Kennedy Ashia might just do the damage for George Lamptey’s side.

With no other player finding the back of net for the phobians aside the red hot Gilbert Fiamenyo, Herbert Addo will have to find an alternate route to goal or risk the wrath of the difficult- to- please Phobian fans.

Boosted by their two consecutive clean sheets in the league after an initial leaky and generous defense, George Lamptey’s side will have to add some goals to their game if they are to get past their more illustrious opponents.

An opening day massacre at Sekondi was compensated with a man of the match display form young forward, Kennedy Ashia with a brace to match. Noted for being a mid-table side in the league, Liberty Professionals will be gunning for their third straight clean sheet, as the Phobians hope for their first win at Accra this season.

With only three teams out scoring the bulky but red hot Gilbert Fiamenyo in the league, the 90 minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium may appear to be a decade of torture or torment for the stingy Liberty side failing to gel thus far.
