Bechem United midfielder Yaw Mensah says they were more determined than Hearts Of Oak on Saturday afternoon, when they secured a 1-0 victory over the former champions on in the FCP Premier League at the Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem.
The ‘Phobians’ had not tasted defeat the home ground of the Bechem-based club since they joined the top flight, but a solitary goal in the first half through Hamza Mohammed broke that jinx.
Mensah told footy-ghana.com after the game, that his side was determined to secure victory on the day.
“We were very determined to record a victory. We knew we haven’t won against Hearts at home before, so we were more determined to halt that run. We thank God we have been able to break that jinx. It was a good game but like I said we were more determined than them.’’
