Modern Auto Commissions Kumasi showroom

One of the leading automobile companies in Ghana, Modern Auto Services Limited (MAS), has revived its operations in the Ashanti Region by commissioning a new showroom in Kumasi and announcing a GHc 3,000 discount on its Tata cars.

The move, the company says, signifies the special bond that it and its parent company, the Kalmoni Group, attaches to the region.

“We and the Tata brand share a long history in the country’s automobile industry, and so this function demonstrates the importance we attach to the Ashanti Region,” the General Manager, Mr. Amine Kabbara, told expectant guests on Wednesday.

The guests include the Akyeampimhene, Nana Oheneba Adusei Poku, who represented the Asantehene, and some management staff of Tata Africa Holdings Limited (TAHL) and Modern Auto Company Limited.

Mr. Kabbara said by adding Tata to its existing franchise, the new MAS showroom located at Adum will offer consumers a variety of reliable brands.

Businesses and residents, he added, “can now have access to brand new Saloon cars, Pick-ups, SUVs, light and heavy duty trucks and mini vans from reputable brands as Tata, Foton & SsangYong, all under one roof.”

Touching on its initial operations, Mr. Kabbara announced a GHc 3,000 discount on all Tata brands at the showroom, till the end of February.

“We assure our existing and potential customers the peace of mind with reliable After sales service,” he said, adding: “We will roll out more exciting activities as we continue to engage our customers in the coming months.”

Regarding its social responsibility, Mr. Kabbara said the company identifies with the development concerns of the region, especially in youth development and security.

Therefore, he indicated, “We will actively partner the Otumfuo Charity Foundation in the area of skills training for our youth, and also support community policing programmes in Kumasi.”

The Akyeampimhene commended Modern Auto for the promise to train the youth in the region, which will bring them job opportunities.

Oheneba Adusei Poku said the Ashanti Region is replete with youthful artisans who desire professional training to become more resourceful, hence the importance of the promise.

He welcomed the company into the region, assuring them of the Asantehene’s readiness to partner it over its social responsibility.

The General Manager of Tata Africa Holdings Limited, Vivek Saraswat, hailed its partnership with Modern Auto, assuring his company “will be available to help with the youth in the training programme, and other packages for customers.”
