The league champions will face one of their biggest tests when they visit All Stars at the Wa Park on Wednesday without the services of their danger man, Ahmed Toure and midfield general, Jordan Opoku.
Contrary to speculations that these players have been rested in the mid-week to enable them play in the big game against their archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday with full energy, reports from the club’s communication team state that the Ivorian was left out of the trip due to Malaria infection and also Jordan Opoku is not in the best condition to feature in the Wa game.
The rest of the key players who were not included in the WA trip are Christopher Bonney and Joseph Addo for various reasons best known to the club.
Aside these said players, all the other players named for their 1-0 home win over Inter Allies last week-end are part of Kotoko’s trip to Wa.
The 18-man squad making the trip are as follows:
Goalkeepers: Ofori Antwi, Isaac Amoako
Defenders: Ohene Brenya, Oti, Atta Kusi, Emmanuel Donkor, Akwasi Acheampong, Emmanuel Asante and Amos Frimpong
Midfielder: Jackson Owusu, Kwadwo Poku, Stephen Oduro, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Richard Mpong, Michael Akuffu
Strikers: Latif Mohammed, Obed Owusu, Dauda Mohammed.
