President Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday, vowed to do everything he can to protect the youth and secure their future, as they were key to his administration.

Jonathan stated this, during his re-election campaign at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. He noted that his administration had demonstrated its commitment to the Nigerian youth through its various policies and programmes, saying that he would continue to protect and secure their future.

The president, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard-bearer in the February 14 presidential election, also promised to provide education for all, as well as meet the basic needs of the youth, if re-elected.

The national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, while addressing the rally, expressed gratitude to the people of the state for always supporting the PDP. He urged them never to stop, even as they vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, in order to get more dividends of democracy.

Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo also called on the people of the state to vote massively for President Jonathan in the presidential election, declaring that the president had done a lot for the state. He however advised them to avoid any act of violence before, during and after the election, as peace is a driver of development.
