Gobonese referee: Otogo-Castane to officiate Ghana-Equatorial Guinea clash

Gabonese referee Eric Arnaud Otogo-Castane has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to handle the semi final clash between Ghana and hosts Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.

The 39-year-old will be assisted by Abdelhak Etchiali of Algeria and Jerson Emiliano dos Santos of Angola.

Otogo Castane is not new to Ghanaians as he was referee when the Black Stars lost to Mali in a third-place match at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.

He has officiated only one game in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations involving Cape Verde and Tunisia which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The winner of the Ghana – Equatorial Guinea game will face the winner of Cote d’Ivoire and DR Congo in the Finals.
