APC Rented Crowd For Presidential Campaign In Kaduna – Yero

Mukhtar Ramalan YeroGovernor of Kaduna State, Ramalan Yero, at the weekend alleged that contrary to claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being popular in the state, the crowd that attended the party’s presidential campaign rally in Kaduna was rented.

He also claimed that no matter the antics of APC, his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will win the general elections slated for this month.

The governor made the assertion while fielding questions from journalists in Kaduna.

“As you all know, Kaduna is a PDP state and has been since 1999. All we have to do is to ensure we maintain PDP status in the state.

“Don’t forget that Kaduna is the home of vice president, and some of the founding fathers of PDP are also from here”, Yero said.

Yero, who is the PDP governorship candidate in Kaduna, went on to condemns attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy in some northern states, pointing out that Kaduna youths had been sensitised against acts of violence.

The governor also described the PDP campaigns in Kaduna State as been largely peaceful and successful “unlike the crisis-ridden campaign of the APC”.
