Highlife legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede, has been an attraction at many events and the Odo Handkerchief singer will be in action on Saturday, February 14, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) when this year’s F 14 concert comes off.

Apart from Amakye Dede, highlife artiste, Nana Quame, who returned to the music scene last year after a long break is on the bill to perform as well as hiplife group, R2Bees.

At a press conference to officially launch this year’s concert at the Silver Lounge, Accra Mall, last Friday, the organisers, Abba Investment, said the initiative was to provide a bigger platform to “share and experience” love on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day.

According to them, the artiste’s were selected based on their works over the years and their public appeal, and were hopeful of a good night on the day. Apart from music, the concert will also be laced with comedy performances from comedians such as DKB, Abenkwan and Jacintaare.

Speaking at the launch, an elated Nana Quame expressed his appreciation to the organisers for selecting him and promised his fans a “great show”.

For him, since it will be his major performance after his comeback, he deemed it as the right platform to rekindle his relationship with his fans.

Though he didn’t say much when given the opportunity, Amakye Dede assured the public of the best show.

He said that he had composed some love themed songs specifically for the concert and entreated the public to be present on Valentine’s Day to have a “feel of his magic love”.

DKB also assured fans of a great night of comedy as he cracks jokes from topics that are trending in the country like KKD’s rape scandal, Dumsor, The Black stars and other related matters on the night.

As part of its corporate responsibility, the organisers, according to Gideon Kwamka Oyiadzo, Operations Director of Abba Investment, will visit the Osu Children’s Home with the artistes to make a donation as part of the F14 celebration which is aimed at expressing love at “all levels”.
