Ghanaian lower division side, Dreams FC, is demanding $880,000 from the sale of striker John Antwi to Al Shabab, DailySoccerGhana.com can exclusively report.

The 22-year-old recently signed a two-and-half-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club for a transfer fee of $2.2million, but the deal cannot be finalized until Dreams FC gets its share from the sale of the goal-poacher.

Dreams FC is making the claim based on a clause they put in Antwi’s contract with Ismaily that if the ex-Eleven Wise and Hearts of Oak attacker should be sold by the Egyptian club, then they will be entitled to 40% of the transfer fee.

Lawyer Mohamed Shiha, who is acting as the agent of John Antwi, is currently fighting to recover Dreams FC’s percentage from the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, the delay in the release of the transfer fee has affected the payment of player bonuses at Ismaily.
