Aliyu To Nigerians: Call For Change Unnecessary, Give Jonathan 2nd Chance

Niger-State-Governor-Babangida-Aliyu-and-President-Goodluck-Jonathan-480x300Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State yesterday pleaded with Nigerians to give President Goodluck Jonathan a second chance, adding that the call for change was unnecessary.

The governor spoke when the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial campaign team visited the Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Garba Attahiru in Rafi Local Government Area of the state.

“The call for change is unnecessary. If someone has stayed out of office for long, it will take him another four years to learn if he gets into office before he can catch up”, Aliyu said

Aliyu, who is Chairman of the Northern State Governors Forum, decried what he called the rising waves of political violence despite the Abuja accord, saying if the present trend was allowed to continue, it may mar next month’s general elections.

He also urged the emir to plead with Kagara people not to abandon PDP for another party.
