General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has chastised the opposition NPP for mocking his ladies winter coat.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia courted controversy when he mistakenly wore his wife’s coat during a visit with President John Dramani Mahama in Germany.
The coat which has become very popular on various social media outlets, have been described by the opposition party, NPP as unfortunate and a sign that the ruling NDC government is confused.
General Mosquito as he is passionately called has been in the news for days now over a fur-trimmed winter coat he wore during a visit to Germany with President John Dramani Mahama.
The winter coat according to some critics is feminine and should not have been worn by the General Secretary of the NDC.
But Asiedu Nketia on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Monday admitted that though he wore his wife’s coat to Germany, he did not travel there as a fashionista.
Instead, he advised the opposition party to focus on winning the 2016 general elections.
“Yes, I went to Germany with my coat, why must the NPP discuss my issue as though there is nothing left for them to talk about. In fact, they should learn and talk about something better that will develop their party than talking about my coat and fashion.
“I am not perturbed at all because I know I travelled abroad on official duties and not for fashion as they are making it look like,” he stated.
