Presidential Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its claims that members of the party were mastermind of last week’s attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign convoys in Katsina and Bauchi states.

The Director, Media and Publicity, Chief Femi- Fani Kayode, expressed shock that the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, could come up with such allegation, which he described as ridiculous.

According to him, the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation rejects Lai Mohammed’s absurd allegation.

He therefore warned the APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, and the opposition party to get prepared for grave and far-reaching consequences, if anything untoward happened to President Jonathan during the campaigns.

Fani-Kayode’s statement comes following allegation by the APC that the PDP was organising attacks on Jonathan to make it look like it was the opposition doing so. In an interview that lays some credence to the allegation, Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda told BBC Hausa service that some Abuja-based PDP members were responsible for the attack on Jonathan’s convoy in Bauchi and not the opposition.
