Ghana international midfielder Michael Essien could join the English Premier League once again, according to Sportsmediaset.
The ‘Bison’ joined Chelsea from French side Olympique Lyon and became a household name in the London club’s setup but left to AC Milan on a free transfer deal last winter after falling down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
The 32-year-old has yet again struggled to find his feet at the San Siro this season making just five starts in nine appearances and enjoying only 456 minutes this term under head coach Fellipo Inzaghi.
Milan are likely to offload the Ghanaian to West Bromwich Albion since his contract expires this summer, the report said.
West Brom coach Tony Pulis is looking for solutions to his side’s poor performance this season since the Hawthorns outfit have won only five out of their 22 league games with seven draws and 10 defeats.
The Baggies are currently lying 14th on the log with 22 points, three points above safety.
