Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, weekend, said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, would use the same strategies which it used in 2007 and 2011 to defeat the opposition parties to win again at the forthcoming general elections.
Lamido said this while campaigning for the party’s candidates for the governorship, national and state assemblies at Garki Local Government Area of the state.
He warned politicians against making false promises to the electorate as politics is not madness. He also urged the people of the state to reciprocate his administration’s good performance across the state by voting for its candidates.
He described the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) as a small party and a creation of frustrated members of the PDP who had nothing to show on the ground. The party can therefore not match the PDP in Jigawa.
He lashed out at Alhaji Abubakar Badaru, the APC governorship candidate in the state, saying he has nothing to offer the people of the state unlike the PDP candidate, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim.
