In-form Ghanaian striker John Antwi had a bittersweet outing for Ismaily as his goal sent them through to the round 16 of the Egyptian Cup but was red carded late on.
Antwi converted a fourth minute penalty which saw them oust Tala’ea El Gaish 1-0 at the Ismaily Stadium on Friday.
But he got himself sent off in the 85th when he punched El Gaish’s defender Henawi in an off-the-ball situation.
Antwi is the leading scorer in the Egyptian Premier League with 13 goals after 17 rounds of matches.
